Privacy Policy

Luxii is a Lightroom Classic plugin built by a working photographer. I photograph high school seniors, which means the people in my photos are often minors. That shaped how Luxii handles data: your photos are analyzed in memory and never stored. Here's the full picture, in plain English.

What we collect

We keep the minimum needed to run your account:

  • Your email address — to create your account, send your license key, and answer support questions.
  • Your license key — to activate the plugin and tie credit purchases to your account.
  • Usage token counts — a number recording how much AI processing each request used, so we can track your credit balance. A token count is just a number. It can't be used to reconstruct a photo.
  • Launch-list emails — if you signed up to hear when Luxii ships (or when the Windows version is ready), we keep that email for those announcements. Nothing else.

What we don't collect or store:

  • Your photos. Not the originals, not the rendered previews, not thumbnails, not copies of any kind.
  • The metadata Luxii writes for you — titles, captions, keywords, and the rest land in your Lightroom catalog, not on our servers.
  • Your Lightroom catalog or anything else on your computer.

How photo processing works

When you tag a photo, Lightroom renders a frame of the image (with your develop settings and crop applied) and the plugin sends it to our server for analysis. Here's what happens next:

  • The image is held in memory only while the AI analyzes it.
  • Once the metadata comes back, the image is discarded. It is never written to disk, never logged, never backed up.
  • What remains afterward is the token count — the number used for credit accounting — and nothing else.

The analysis itself runs on Anthropic's Claude API, which acts as our processor. We use Anthropic under commercial terms that exclude your images from being used to train AI models. Your photos pass through for analysis and are not retained for training by us or by Anthropic.

Payment data

All payments — the plugin license and credit packs — are handled by Stripe, a payment processor used by millions of businesses. Your card number goes directly to Stripe. We never see or store your card details. What we receive from Stripe is confirmation that a payment went through, so we can deliver your license or credits.

Analytics and cookies

The luxii.app website uses Google Analytics to understand basic things like which pages people visit and where visitors come from. That's it.

  • We do not run ad tracking, retargeting pixels, or sell data to anyone.
  • The plugin itself does not include analytics beyond the usage token counts described above.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data (email, license key, token counts, purchase history) for as long as you have an account, since that's what your credits are tied to. Credits never expire, so we don't auto-delete accounts.

Want your data gone? Email info@rexjones.photo and we'll delete your account data. Note that deleting your account also deletes your license and any remaining credits, so we'll confirm with you before doing it.

To unsubscribe from the launch list, use the link in any email or just reply and ask.

Children's privacy

Two separate things here, and the distinction matters:

  • The service is for adults. Luxii accounts are for working photographers, and we don't knowingly create accounts for anyone under 18.
  • The photos you process may depict minors. Senior portraits, family sessions, school events — that's normal photography work, and it's exactly why Luxii is built the way it is. Images are analyzed in memory during your session and immediately discarded. There is no stored copy of any photo, of anyone, anywhere on our servers. The only record a tagging session leaves behind is a token count.

This isn't an afterthought. Luxii was built by a senior-portrait photographer whose subjects are usually minors, and the no-storage design exists because of that.
